    Worked perfectly for Facebook!

Does this work for new versions of an existing track? This would be really useful for announcing previews of mixes as the progress.
  • David Noël · 3 months ago
You mean when replacing a track with a new version? Good question, I'll forward that to Johannes.

    Thanks for pointing that out.

    very useful features!
  • jpshea · 3 months ago
    David,

Yes. You have columns for "New tracks and sets" and "New favorites", it would be great to see another one for "New version of existing track".

    Regards,
    JPS

Hey guys...the Chicago MediaHub Project (http://groups.google.com/group/chicagomediahub LOVES the SoundCloud site, and we're looking to implement the submission tool into our 3 stations that we're launching soon. Is there a way to do this in a systematic way? We would LOVE to include our Talk Radio, Spanish Language, and Arts/Entertainment channels in a submission tool for each individual channel; as well as a 4th channel that would just rotate the submissions on an automated channel for our audience to preview and vote on...any help?

This feature is great! It's (the main) part of the reason why I'm shifting back to SoundCloud on a pro account.

    A couple of questions though:

    (1) I'm having trouble getting this to work with MySpace. Where should new track notifications appear there? As a new blog?

    (2) Could you please add an override option when Uploading a track? This override would be consistent with the way that licensing options can be overridden when Editing tracks/sets.

For example I am uploading multiple tracks then putting these into sets. I'd rather tell people about the sets than the single tracks. Of course sometimes I do want to tell people about a track (that is not part of a set), so by default I'd want tell people about both tracks and sets.

Thanks, and keep up the good work.

    Hey Dan,

    1) It currently only appears as a status update
    2) Good idea, I'll take this to the team, valid point!
  • David Noël · 1 month ago
Actually Dan: what you can do, is to upload a set directly (just select more than one track and it will arrange into a set). Once you have done that, it should also push to your networks as a set.

    Hi David,

    1) Despite having a MySpace account for years I'm still a MySpace n00b. Do status updates only appear to your MySpace friends in their 'Activity Stream' or should they be publicly available somewhere on your MySpace page when you are logged out?

    2) Thanks! I didn't realise you could do that. I'll try that approach with my next batch of uploads (next month).

    Cheers,
    Dan

    1) .. just scrolled down my MS page when logged in ... and found "Status and Mood" - I guess that's where this stuff appears then!

    Hey Dan,

    1) Yes, I believe so (not a MySpace expert also). Logged-out it should show below your picture if I'm not mistaken
    2) great - hope it helps.

Can you tell when exactly that error message appears? When trying to connect? Does it show "you must be logged in to Facebook to use this feature"? Please try again and make sure that you're already logged in to Facebook when connecting both your accounts.
