I think its a great feature.. but I think you should make it more automated like you did for Facebook and Twitter... By Using XMLRPC you can automate the creation of posts in Wordpress. By saving the credentials on your server you could Push out Posts to blogs automatically when they are uploaded to SC.. This is a great feature that sites like Youtube and Blip.tv already take advantage of.. I would be very interested in this feature. Keep up the good work guys.. You have one killer app!!

Geat idea, we will consider this! Thanks!

So what can I do now that I couldn't before?
To me this is just a different implementation of copying and pasting the embed tag only it takes one click more? Am I missing something?

I would like to see features like:

Controlling the look of the player from wordpress, so that if I redesign the theme I can change all the players on the site in one go, to fit the new design.

Being able to link my blog to my sound cloud account so that things could be pushed to wordpress and vice versa.
For example I could link a track to a post on my blog and all sound cloud comments get posted to the comments of the blog post automatically. This could work the other way round to but I'm not sure how you guys might feel about non members "posting comments on Sound Cloud".

Some sort of sidebar widget that could pull "all my public tracks" rather than just my sets, and then automatically update when I upload a new tune.

A widget for the drop box/profile badge.

Maybe an admin widget so that I can get a summary of my account from there and not always have to visit my profile. I'm in my blog everyday so it would be nice to see more info at a glance.

This is a fantastic move forward - I've been waiting for this kind of thing for a while now.
I'm looking forward to your next possible move which will be automatic updates to blogs (WP) - for example I'm planning a multi-user blog for DJs and it'd be great if they could have an automatic update of their latest DJ mix or track etc + control more stuff from WordPress - colours, comments etc.
Anyway keep up the good work!

That's pretty neat, I have a couple of friends in bands that have their own WordPress blogs so this might be a nice enticement for them to sign up on SoundCloud.

cool or not this version will not satisfy w3c at all! You need to use some js for better work.
My friend has done this in his custom cms site and says that it's easy to do same for every cms.

I'm new to SoundCloud, but I must say, the integration with WordPress is definitely a winning feature. Keep up the good development work-- I think I'm going to join now.

Superb work. We have Soundcloud 100% on our music website (http://fixdmusic.com) and it works perfectly. Thanks for finally making music 'look' as good as it sounds on the internet.

Very Sweet! I am impressed. Keep up the GREAT Job!
  • globaldjnetwork · 1 month ago
Globaldjnetwork has had the player enabled in the community area for months. We have also just introduced a Soundcloud dropbox promotion thread where all material posted to our groups dropbox is posted on the community with the embeddable player and artist link, an RSS feed would be a great option for soundcloud to include in a future option.
  • David Noël · 1 month ago
Nice, can you post some links?
  • Mikooshka · 1 month ago
I agree with Composite One. What's so novel here? In fact, I just pasted the embed code into a Wordpress post and it didn't work. Then I tried the regular embed code and sure enough it appeared. Looks good though - may use it instead of "Apture" which has a tiny icon beside the link and may be too subtle for attracting plays. (But everybody should check Apture - killer tool for "stay inside the website" pop-up players for all kinds of content).

SoundCloud gets full WordPress.com integration. Great software for sharing music files. Could be good for educators wanting to share student work with parents and for assessment purposes. Check it out. It looks great to!
